Miles Apart, Close at Heart

Even though miles separated us — different cities, different states — it felt like my heart never left your side. Every day, every hour, I was dying to see you, to share with you the small victories and struggles of my studies, to tell you everything that was happening in my life, no matter how ordinary it seemed.

I thought of you constantly — day and night — like a soft, persistent melody that never left my mind. Every lecture, every walk across the campus, every quiet moment alone, I carried you with me. You were my hidden joy, my secret comfort, the reason I smiled even when things got tough.

And oh, the pride I felt — the quiet, glowing pride — whenever I told anyone who asked about me, about us, that I belonged to you. That my heart was yours. It wasn’t just love; it was devotion, a feeling that grew stronger with every mile between us.

Distance couldn’t diminish what I felt. If anything, it made me treasure every word, every laugh, every fleeting moment we shared even more. And even when I couldn’t hold you close, just knowing you existed in my life made every lonely night worth it.

Because love isn’t measured by proximity. It’s measured by how deeply someone lives in your heart — and you, my love, live in mine completely.

Forever in whispers,
– The Healing Heart
